Silver Lake Trail Master Plan
Silver Lake is a 110-acre freshwater lake located in the City of Everett between SR 525 to the east and I-5 to the west. The master plan and design envisions a bicycle and pedestrian trail system around Silver Lake that recognizes the importance of public recreation and access to the shoreline. This non-motorized trail system is approximately 1.8 miles in length and enhances the popular recreational amenities, boating, fishing and swimming, already offered at Silver Lake. The master plan explores alternatives and makes final recommendations for linking Thornton Sullivan Park, Hauge Homestead Park, and a completed section of trail by WSDOT adjacent to SR 527 with the adjacent community. Silver Lake Trail provides a diverse recreational trail experience from boardwalk over water and wetland to neighborhood streets and parks. The trail system includes viewpoints, interpretive signage, and almost a half-mile of over-water boardwalk.
