Martha Lake Community Airport Park

Surrounded by dense suburban residential development, this 28 acre park answers the community’s need for open space and recreation. Both active and passive recreation intertwines with art and interpretive elements that reflect on the prior use of the site as a family-owned airport. The park offers two youth soccer fields, a Little League ball field, picnic shelters and facilities, restroom building, a loop trail system and connections to the surrounding residential community, streetscape improvements, and a children’s play area. The “Big Rock”, one of the largest erratic boulders in King, Pierce, or Snohomish Counties, rests at the edge of woodland in juxtaposition to Snohomish County’s first skateboard park.
